From the planting of the vines to the moment when the grapes are harvested, the work in the vineyards always takes account of the rhythms and cycles of nature. The quality of the grapes is increased through agricultural methods which remain in harmony with nature. Alois Lageder has been practicing sustainable, eco-friendly viticulture now for many years. Parasites and diseases are primarily combated through natural means. Compost, manure and ground ricinus are used as fertilizers.
