2012 MÜLLER THURGAU

Grape variety: Müller Thurgau.

Description: brilliant straw-yellow colour with a green shimmer. Pronounced, fruity, forward varietal aroma with a delicate muscat note. Medium-bodied, elegant, grapey flavour with a crisp, refreshing finish. When properly cellared, this wine may be kept for at least 2 – 4 years.

Suggested food: as an aperitif, with starters, all kind of seafood.

Origin: selected vineyards in the Isarco valley (between Chiusa and Bressanone) at 500 to 920 metres (1,650 – 3,020 feet) altitude.

Age of the vines: 3 – 55 years.

Harvested: mid - late September 2012.

Yield: 62 hl / ha.

Vinification: fermentation in stainless steel tanks, followed by maturation on the fine lees for 4 months.

Alcohol: 12,5 % by vol.

Acidity: 5.2 g / litre.

Bottled: February 2013.

Release: March 2013.

Bottle sizes: 375 ml, 750 ml.
